Thomas Eldered, Chairman

In addition to being the Chairman of Cobra Biologics, Thomas is the CEO of Recipharm AB, a Swedish company with a turnover of more than £200m, employing nearly 1,700 people across a number of sites in Europe. He has held this position since 2008, Prior to Recipharm he was Vice President of Recip AB from 1995 to 2007 and Factory Manager at Pharmacia from 1990 to 1995. He has a M.Sc. in Industrial and Management Engineering from the Linköping Institute of Technology.

Carl-Johan Spak, Director

Carl Johan is a Director for Cobra Biologics and is also currently employed by Recipharm AB as their Executive Vice President Development and technology. He has been with Recipharm AB since 2009. Prior to his appointment at Recipharm he was the Director for the Nordic Region for Meda AB from 2007 to 2008, CEO for Recip AB and Recip Läkemedel AB from 2005 to 2007 and part of the Executive Management Team for Recip AB from 1995 to 2005. He has a PhD in dentistry from the Karolinska Institute.

Prior to his appointment as CEO in May 2011, Peter was Finance Director at Keele and Recipharm Ltd, Ashton. Peter was also Finance Director of Cobra Biomanufacturing Plc up to its acquisition by Recipharm in 2010, and he has been at the Keele facility for over 8 years. Prior to Cobra he was employed in a variety of senior financial and corporate development roles. Peter qualified as a Chartered Management Accountant in 1996 and in 2001 was awarded an MBA with distinction jointly from the Manchester Business School and the University of Wales.

Elisabeth Lindner, MSc, MBA, Non-Executive Director

Elisabeth lives in Stockholm, Sweden and is a member of the Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences. In addition to being a Cobra Biologics board member, she is Chairman and CEO of Biosource Europe AB and a board member of BioInvent International AB, KaroBio AB and Pharmalink AB. Elisabeth has significant senior management experience with Pharmacia Corporation, Octapharma AB and Diamyd Medical AB.


Professor Carl Johan Sundberg, MD, PhD, Non-Executive Director

Professor Carl Johan Sundberg, MD, PhD, Non-Executive Director

Carl Johan is a licensed physician and associate professor at the Department of Physiology & Pharmacology at Karolinska Institute in Stockholm, Sweden. Carl Johan co-founded the Karolinska Investment Fund, a €60m biomedical VC fund where he worked from 1999 to 2009 as investment manager. He also heads the Unit for Bio-entrepreneurship at Karolinska Institute, is a member of the International Olympic Committee´s Medical Commission, vice-president of Euroscience and elected member of the Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences (IVA). Carl Johan has also served as a member or chairman of numerous academic and industry boards.


Jinyue Wang, MSc, Non-Executive Director

Jinyue Wang, MSc, Non-Executive Director

Jinyue lives in Beijing, China where he is the founder and managing Partner of 3N Partners, an investment partnership which is focused on life-science/clean-tech VC investment as well as providing advisory services for M&A activities in the pharmaceutical sector. Prior to the current role, he founded and headed DSM Venturing in China. He has significant experience in the Chinese healthcare industry, working for Roche, DSM and the Chinese central government from 1996. During his career he has reviewed more than 800 deals, completed more than 50 due diligences and closed 12 deals.
