Cobra Biologics is part of the wider end-to-end service provision for Cell & Gene Therapies within Charles River Laboratories. As such, to support Cobra’s growth programme, and the C&GT portfolio, we are looking for an Operations Associate Director.

 You will be responsible for Keele Operational Groups including Product Delivery (cGMP Manufacturing) and Technical Support Services (HSE, Engineering, Validation, Warehousing and Facilities’). As Associate Director you will lead these functions to ensure that contracts and in house service agreements are delivered to agreed timelines.

 You will also be responsible for ensuring that operational strategies for the Keele site are delivered as required, ensuring that financial, operational, quality, health & safety targets and standards according to the Code of Conduct are met as required by the Company.

 Essential requirements:

  • Degree in Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Biochemical Engineering or other science related subject or equivalent qualification plus previous experience in managing multi-disciplinary project teams within an industrial cGMP environment, biologics experience preferable.
  • Previous experience of and able to demonstrate the ability to develop business objectives and contribute to strategic thinking.
  • Able to demonstrate strong verbal & written communication and presentation skills.
  • Proven track record of managing multi-disciplinary teams and planning and executing deliverables within budget and to timescale.

 Desirable requirements:

  •  Previous relevant experience working within the Biologics industrial sector

This will be a group role based at Keele, Staffordshire.
