Cobra Biologics Shortlisted for Project of the Year in the Bionow Awards 2016

Now in its 15th year, this prestigious black tie event, held at The Mere Golf Resort and Spa in Cheshire, is a highlight of the biomedical calendar, showcasing the very best of this world class sector.

With around 1000 life science and healthcare companies and a combined turnover of £10.9bn, the North of England has the breadth of business, depth of expertise and investment in specialist infrastructure that rivals anything that any other UK region can offer and the Bionow Awards recognises this success and achievement.

Cobra has been shortlisted for the Bionow Project of the Year Award, sponsored by Waters Corporation, for the Cobra Tecrea collaboration project “Scalable AAV Production using Novel Hollow Fibre Bioreactors”. Performed under the Innovate UK’s ‘Technology Inspired Innovation’, the project aimed to identify potential routes for significantly increasing productivity while reducing the cost of goods in the upstream areas for viral vector production.
